I don't know how

I'm supposed to call this my home now

What about where I come from

This land of exile

This place I'm supposed to wait meanwhile

Squatters desecrate my home

The water runs diverted from mouths

To fenced-in settlement pools

The D-9 uproots the green grass

On its way to destroy more schools

I'm supposed to accept these insults

But I can't forget and move on

And what about this place

I've barely even seen the face

Of the people that had lived here once

Displaced in same circumstance

This land of exile is the home they long for all the while

I'm forced to sit here respectfully

Searching for an apology

The water runs the treaties still hold

But have we ever upheld the deals

The green grass now refuge to rest of us

Remains a lost home to you

And here I am barred from our return

Comfortable in turn

And I don't know exactly what to do
